Primary Education
At Jumeirah we have 4 classes in each year group across our Early Years and Primary classes that follow the British curriculum.
Our aim is to make the transition from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1 as smooth as possible, with elements of Early Years practice incorporated into Year 1 and Year 2, thus providing familiar environments and learning experiences. As they journey through Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, transition is carefully managed, with children learning in a way which excites, motivates and engages them.
As students’ progress through Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, learning is brought to life through open ended activities, hands on tasks, trips and visitors, with subjects interwoven to form a dynamic and exciting learning programme.
Children develop communication and collaboration skills by exploring together and take increased responsibility and levels of independence for their learning as they progress through the Primary school.

Artificial Intelligence - The JESS Journey
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a prominent topic in every walk of life at present, not least with the exponential development of generative AI and the potential impact of this, and other forms of AI, on education. Like all schools, we are finding our way, and this is going to be a rapidly developing and ever-changing landscape. Please find below a document outlining our thinking and intentions around how JESS will navigate AI. This is very much a starting point and more will follow about how we are working with AI, whether it be employing exciting tools to enhance our curriculum and performance or indeed protecting and preserving the integrity of the learning process for our students.
