Early Years Foundation Stage is where children start their learning journey with us at JESS. We offer a curriculum alongside a nurturing experience throughout FS1 and FS2, at which point after two years, the children are fully prepared to transition to the Primary phase of the school.

Our Arabian Ranches campus has 3 classes in Foundation Stage, and all the classes have access to a large central area as well as the extensive outdoor playgrounds which offer a range of creative play areas such as mud kitchens, art areas, climbing and musical areas to encourage play.

We nurture each unique child to develop a love of learning and make a difference in the world. By focusing on building positive relationships with all children, we ensure that they feel safe and happy in a warm and welcoming environment.

The learning at Foundation Stage is play based and follows a holistic approach that supports the development of the child. Play is one of the most powerful channels that enables young children to learn and make sense of the world around them. Play is also essential to build their confidence as they explore and learn how to solve problems. By creating opportunities for our children to discover and investigate, we nurture their curiosity and learning becomes meaningful because they are following their interests. The children lead their own learning and develop the Characteristics of Effective Learning.

Our learning spaces are highly engaging, challenging, and responsive to the needs of every unique child. As the children develop and grow, they are supported to become independent and confident learners who can communicate their ideas and work cooperatively with others.
